1. In the Flo by Alisa Vitti
For the past several months, I've had many hormonal challenges including anxiety, depression, and emotional paralysis. After doctor visits and lab work results, I learned that I'm officially in the perimenopause stage and dealing with lots of hormone changes. As I was searching for natural solutions, I discovered this book and read it in one day. I wished I had learned about it many years ago. It teaches you the four specific stages of your natural cycle and how you can use certain foods and exercise for each stage to help regulate your hormones. This is not a faith-based book, but as the author talked about a woman's body cycle, I was amazed how God designed our bodies with such detail. This book has inspired me to really treat my body like a temple which is God's instruction.
2. Rocco's Healthy and Delicious Cookbook by Rocco DiSpirito
This cookbook has become one of my favorites with so many delicious, plant-based recipes. I especially love all of the smoothie recipes with the snickerdoodle smoothie being my top choice. I try to drink at least one green smoothie every day, and this book provides lots of choices. For simple, healthy, summer recipes, this is the book to get.
3. Good Morning, I Love You by Shauna Shapiro
I first heard this author on a podcast and immediately ordered her book. This is an amazing book to help you become more deliberate with your self-care and mindfulness. Dr. Shapiro does an excellent job explaining the power of the mind to be reset from negative thoughts to positive thoughts. This is not a faith-based book, but it aligns with God's message of consistently renewing our minds and speaking real truth into our lives.
